Rainbow Aircarft 彩虹飞行器
"Rainbow Aircraft" is a tribute to the Airport Runway Park of Nanjing Dajiaochang, bridging the memories of civil aviation with a shared vision for the future. The pavilion's shape, inspired by the form of an aircraft, features elegant cantilevered wings and a central reinforced cavity that envelops the interior space.
彩虹飞行器是献给南京大校场机场跑道的时光礼物，连接了民用机场的回忆与大众共享的未来。建筑形态如同飞翔的飞机，两翼优雅地悬挑，内部为市民提供了一个充满活力的公共空间。
The design focuses on service facility nodes within the Daxiaochang Airport Runway Park, creating a spatial field through the combination of an enclosed architectural structure and a cluster of open-air constructions. The “Rainbow Aircraft” offers a versatile indoor space, with its structural cavity integrating a staircase that leads to the second floor and provides access to an outdoor rooftop viewing platform. Equipped with wheels, the compact aircraft installation is mobile, capable of moving within and beyond the site to facilitate exhibitions, gatherings, and other outdoor activities.
设计以大校场机场跑道公园的服务设施节点为对象，以一个室内单体与一群开敞构筑物群组形成场域。彩虹飞行器提供了多变的室内空间，同时结构空腔整合了通往二层的楼梯，提供了屋顶的室外观景平台。小巧的飞行器装置安置了轮子，可以在场地内外移动，为展览、聚会等提供外部空间。
Wing X Levitation 机翼 X 悬浮
The Design takes on the abstract form of an aircraft fuselage, inverted in shape and embedded into the land. Its structure is enveloped in anodized aluminum cladding, presenting a pure sense of geometry. The interior is enclosed with acrylic, blurring the boundaries between solid and void. Outside, several small aircrafts are parked, their sculptural forms radiating geometric tension. The design aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia for the history of Daxiaochang Airport while also rekindling humanity’s long-held dreams of flight. Like miniature aircraft, the building carries within it countless small dreams, inviting visitors to reflect on the past and look towards the future. 建筑如抽象的机身形态，以倒置的三角插入土地。结构被包裹在阳极氧化铝板的蒙皮之下，呈现出的是纯粹的几何感。室内部分通过亚克力进行围合，虚实之间打破了建筑的边界。室外停泊这几架小型飞行器，同样充满几何雕塑感的张力。希望当人们来到这里，能重温起这片大校场机场过往的历史，也能拾起自古以来人类关于飞翔的梦想。建筑如同小小飞行器，也承托着一个个小小梦想。
Parking X Departing 停泊 X 驶出
The floor plan design uses the angle of the aircraft's wings as a reference to define the roofline. The first floor narrows inward, creating a transitional "gray space" and leaving room for a deck platform that provides outdoor seating. The acrylic curtain wall along the climate boundary further narrows inward, keeping the indoor café area to around 60 square meters. The structural truss cavity is designed to remain vertical, integrating a staircase leading to the second floor and housing mechanical and electrical systems. Other design elements, such as the outdoor small aircraft structures, stainless steel seating, and stone steps, are all designed using the same modular system. The large aircraft serves as the stationary "mother vessel," while movable units and small seating areas resemble smaller aircraft that glide in and out within this miniature airport space. 平面设计以飞机两翼的角度作为参考定位屋顶边线，首层向内收缩营造灰空间，留出甲板平台提供室外休憩的空间，气候边界的亚克力幕墙再度向内收缩，将室内咖啡厅面积控制在60平方米左右。结构桁架空腔考虑保持垂直，内部集成通往二层的楼梯以及机电设备。其余的设计元素如室外小型飞行器构筑物，不锈钢座椅，石材踏步等均以同样的模数进行设计。大飞行器如停泊的母体，而可滑动的单元以及小型座椅等如小飞机在这块微型机场内灵活地驶入驶出。
Rainbow X Reflection 彩虹 X 映射
The airport runway is designed as a rainbow runway, with vibrant colors extending to the surfaces of the aircraft, breathing new life into what was once a cold, mechanical design. The gradient of colors adds an artistic touch, enriching the visual experience and creating a dynamic atmosphere. The colorful aircraft, like a creative installation, form an engaging space where children can play and explore, while also providing an ideal setting for gatherings, exhibitions, and social events. These aircraft, with their unique shapes and colors, tell the story of flight and infuse the space with endless possibilities and emotional connections. 机场跑道被设计成彩虹跑道，鲜艳的彩虹色彩从跑道延伸至飞行器的表面，为原本冰冷、机械感十足的设计注入了一股生气与活力。每一种颜色的渐变，不仅为飞行器本身增添了艺术感，也使得整个空间在视觉上更加丰富和动感。多彩的飞行器群体，如同一座充满创意的装置艺术，构成了一个富有趣味和互动性的场域。这里既是一个供孩子们自由玩耍、探索的游乐空间，也是人们聚会、观展、交流的理想场所。飞行器不仅作为功能性的元素存在，它们的造型和色彩交织在一起，仿佛在讲述着飞行梦想的故事，为这个空间带来了无限的可能性和情感的连接。
Structure X Unit 结构 X 单元
The principle behind the steel structure design is centered reinforcement with cantilevered wings, creating an overall axially symmetric system. The goal is for the building to appear light and suspended above the grass, giving it a sense of weightlessness. The design complexity is contained within both the interior and exterior surfaces. The fuselage design is kept simple, while the cavity formed by the structure is used to house the staircase, which connects the upper and lower platforms. The slanted support provided by the staircase also contributes to the structural reinforcement. This same structural concept is applied to the surrounding small aircraft units, maintaining consistency throughout the design. 钢结构设计的原则是中心加固，两翼悬挑，整体呈轴对称体系。希望建筑本身的视觉感受，可以轻盈悬浮在草地之上。同时设计的复杂度可以被内外面所包裹，由于机身的设计一般。结构形成的空腔用于放置楼梯，连接上下平台，同时楼梯提供的斜向支撑也起到结构加固的作用。同样的结构思考，也被应用到了周围的小型飞行器单元之上。
Secret Stair 秘密通道
The design includes a small hidden "Easter egg" — a staircase concealed within the structural cavity, tucked behind the interior space. As visitors walk up to the deck and approach the entrance, they are greeted by a framed view of a small patch of greenery. In this tranquil atmosphere, climbing the stairs offers a serene moment, allowing one to immerse in the purity of nature and the open sky. 设计预留了一个小彩蛋，是结构空腔形成的楼梯，藏在室内空间的背后。当人们走上甲板，看到入口，能看到一片小小的绿意框景。在安静的氛围里，拾级而上，感受纯净的自然与天空。
