Green Pedestrian Bridge 绿织桥
Designed with ecology at the core, the green pedestrian bridge aims to connect and activate spaces on both sides of the river through a "threading needle" design approach. Its purpose is to use ecology as a medium to create a highly vibrant central public service and leisure zone, showcasing the vitality of the Pukou District's southern urban area.
这座以生态为核心设计的绿色人行桥，采用“穿针引线”的设计理念，旨在通过桥梁连接和激活河两岸的空间。其目标是以生态为媒介，打造一个充满活力的中央公共服务和休闲区，展示浦口区南部城市区域的生命力。
We believe that the theme of "Ecological Bridge" not only enhances the city's landscape axis but also serves as a symbolic emblem of ecological creativity for the modernized new Pukou. The design of the Green Weave Bridge will ecologically link the vegetation on both sides of the river, creating continuous habitats for different species. Moreover, the two slender footbridges meandering across the Green Weave Bridge will connect the surrounding core areas, establishing a multifunctional composite bridge serving citizens' needs, encompassing ecology, leisure, commerce, and office spaces.
我们相信，“生态桥”这一主题不仅提升了城市景观轴线，还成为现代化新浦口的生态创意象征。绿色织桥的设计将生态地连通河两岸的植被，创造出连续的栖息地，适合不同物种生存。此外，横跨绿色织桥的两座纤细人行桥将连接周围的核心区域，形成一个多功能复合桥，服务市民的需求，涵盖生态、休闲、商业和办公空间。
Ecological Link 生态交织
The bridge serves as an ecological link, uniting the fragmented green spaces on both banks into a cohesive whole. The main bridge structure transitions from straight to curved, directing the entrance and exit towards the plaza, guiding pedestrian flow. We aim to provide pedestrians with ample space for leisurely strolls on the bridge and opportunities for diverse experiences as they move through the scenery. Secondly, the fast transit system of the secondary bridge intertwines with the slow transit system of the main bridge, offering multiple access points to enter the park and riverbank. Simultaneously, it facilitates connectivity between the commercial complex on both banks, enhancing the accessibility of urban public spaces from multiple dimensions. 这座桥梁作为生态纽带，将两岸的零散绿地连接成一个有机整体。主桥结构从直线逐渐过渡到曲线，桥面的入口和出口朝向广场，巧妙地引导行人的流动。我们的设计目标是为行人提供充足的空间，能够在桥上悠闲漫步，并在穿越景观的过程中体验多样化的感受。 其次，次级桥梁的快速交通系统与主桥的慢速交通系统交织融合，提供了多个进入公园和河岸的通道。同时，它也促进了两岸商业综合体的连接，从多维度提升了城市公共空间的可达性。

In contrast, the secondary bridge embodies the pace of urban life, characterized by lightness and agility. This striking juxtaposition enhances the bridge's aesthetic appeal. The bridge deck will feature local trees, shrubs, and grasses, creating a beautiful display of Nanjing's ecology throughout the year. Additionally, the bridge will offer a space for people to relax and interact with nature, providing a peaceful escape from urban life. Picture pedestrians walking along the bridge, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of birds chirping. Varied Walking Paths 多样路径
The system comprises a main greenery-infused bridge and a fast transit elevated walkway. The former, with an S-shaped design, serves as a leisurely pedestrian pathway, while the latter, with subtle height variations, facilitates faster pedestrian movement. The fast and slow transit systems are interconnected by two junction bridges, allowing seamless transition between leisurely strolls and brisk walks amidst nature and urban hustle. To accommodate the varied transit systems, different materials and pavements are employed. The main bridge features stable and robust concrete brick paving, while the elevated walkway utilizes white plastic granules for added shock absorption and anti-slip properties. Lighting Design 灯光设计
The Green Weave Bridge's unique understanding of ecology and composite systems has contributed to its elegant form. To further accentuate its aesthetic appeal, we have carefully designed the lighting underneath the bridge, enhancing the city's vibrant nighttime scenery. The lighting design can be divided into two parts. The first part focuses on enhancing the bridge's form with spotlights placed on both banks and linear LED strips underneath the bridge. Additionally, to improve the pedestrian experience on the bridge, small decorative lights are placed along the pathways, providing illumination amidst the greenery and wooden decking. Linear LED strips are installed underneath bench seats to create a cozy atmosphere and enhance the urban landscape. 绿色织桥在对生态和复合系统的独特理解下，形成了优雅的造型。为了进一步突显其美学魅力，我们精心设计了桥下的照明，提升了城市夜间景观的活力。 照明设计分为两个部分。第一部分旨在通过在两岸设置聚光灯和在桥下安装线性LED灯带，突出桥梁的形态。此外，为了提升行人在桥上的体验，我们在步道旁安置了小型装饰性灯具，在绿意与木质甲板之间提供柔和的照明。线性LED灯带还安装在长椅下方，营造温馨的氛围，进一步丰富了城市的夜间景观。
